The ever reliable Gerry Loves Records are releasing a nice wee split 7" from Rick Redbeard and Adam Stafford on 25th June.  A very worthwhile pre-order from their website or listen below on SoundCloud if you can't wait that long.  The release is supported by a tour taking in Edinburgh, Glasgow (Captain's Rest on Fri 22 June) and Aberdeen.

Originally reflected in podcast number three were the slow, minimalist tunes which seem to have characterised my record buying of late but I’ve added a few more uplifting tracks for a bit of balance.  I hope there’s now something in there to excite all ears.

1.            Wounded Knee – Tomlinson’s Rant
2.            Julia Holter – Goddess Eyes II
3.            The Caretaker – The Night Is Over And The Dawn Is About To Break
4.            Patten – Plurals
5.            Kindness – That’s Alright
6.            Harmonious Thelonious – Marak
7.            John Talabot – Last Land
8.            Chairlift – Wrong Opinion
9.            Organs of Love – Let’s Talk to Bobby

I really didn't intend it to take quite so long to get the second episode out as almost to become an annual Podcast.  Time is always at a premium and as it passed the number of new great tracks to consider just got larger, making it increasingly difficult to nail down a short list.  Hopefully those selected do justice to some of the great tunes which have been added to the collection in the last nine months.

Anyway, having caught up I'll hopefully be able to get the next podcast focusing on records from the start of 2012 out in a more timely fashion.

Track listing:

1.            I Break Horses - Wired
2.            Planningtorock – The Breaks
3.            Balam Acab – Oh, Why
4.            James Blake – Limit To Your Love
5.            R M Hubbert – Hey There Mr Bone
6.            Josh T. Pearson – Women, When I’ve Raised Hell
7.            Richmond Fontaine – Inventory
8.            Washed Out – A Dedication
9.            Zomby – Natalia’s Song
10.          Andy Stott – Stitch House
